Friday Five

Oh hello Friday! For some reason, this week just went by so slowly. Having summers off is a blessing and a curse. Mornings are typically spent enjoying a little morning TV, going to the gym and enjoying a late breakfast. I try and keep myself  busy by meeting a friend for lunch or taking Charlie to the dog park. But some afternoons I just get bored! I know parents and teachers don't say this but honestly I am ready for summer break to end. Well on that note, here are five things I'm loving this Friday!

{One} Reading. The End of Overeating. By David Kessler, MD  I remember this book being big with healthy living bloggers a few years back but never took the time to read it. I picked it up at the library this week after recognizing the title and am so glad I did! The scientific research behind the culture of food is very compelling.  The author shares great tips on how to get free from food addiction. Here is a summary from Amazon: "Drawn from the latest brain science as well as interviews with top physicians and food industry insiders, The End of Overeating exposes the food industry’s aggressive marketing tactics and reveals shocking facts about how we lost control over food—and what we can do to get it back."

{Two} Drinking. I have been on a roll and enjoying  Apple Cider Vinegar each morning with my Greek yogurt. Separately of course :) I feel like it gives me so much energy and really cleans out my stomach.

{Three} Wishlist Worthy. After running 2 half marathons and a marathon in my current pair of my running shoes it is high time to replace them. I should have replaced them many miles ago. Instead to save money, I replaced the insoles. Since fall running season is right around the corner it's time. Fleet Feet is having a sale this weekend so I am hoping to pick up a new pair of Mizunos.

{Four} Currently Watching.  All things daytime TV. I just love LIVE! with Kelly and Michael and The View. I could watch those shows each morning and never get bored.

{Five} Weekend Forecast. Heading to Wilmington this weekend to help my mom clean out my childhood bedroom and visit some friends. Unfortunately, the weather is not cooperating and it looks like rain all weekend. So no beach time this trip. I guess that means I will have to make another trip down before the end of the summer :)

  1. I'm with you on the running shoes. I'm trying to hold out another month or so but I have picked out too many races this fall to wait too much longer.
