- Dry shampoo and diet coke are my lifeline. I have found a new love in Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo. While a bit pricey, this stuff has made life so much easier as I can go 3-4 days without washing my hair and still look presentable!
Proof- This is 5 days of not washing my hair while at the hospital.
- Sleep becomes secondary. You learn to function on less sleep than you ever imagined. Those first few weeks of scattered sleep a night were rough. Now I am getting in 5- 6 hours of sleep and don't mind at all. This is something pre-baby Ashley would have never said.
- Baby wearing is key. I am able to do dishes, clean house, take the dog on a walk and work hands free with Caroline wrapped snugly to me. Sweet girl does not like to be put down so baby wearing has been a lifesaver.
- Netflix and AmazonPrime are a new mom's addictions. I watch a ton of Neflix these days. Currently binge watching Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and NCIS. Amazon prime has been amazing when I need something for myself or little bit but can't seem to make it out the door.
- It's all worth it. At the end of the day, seeing Joe come home from work and Caroline greet him with the biggest smile and hearty laugh makes my heart so full.
Stay tuned as I catch up on Caroline's first two month's of life.
She is too precious! As hard as the newborn days are they really are so special. It's amazing what little of sleep you can function on when you become a mom. Baby wearing is the best and was the only way I too could get anything done!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations; she is precious! It is incredible how good you get at getting little sleep!
ReplyDeleteCaroline is too cute for words! I bet she does make it all worth it in the end :)
ReplyDeleteAhhh, Caroline is just too cute! Just keep on keeping on, mama! You're doing an awesome job! (and please tell me, how do you look SO good with so little sleep? I'd look like a hot mess!)
ReplyDeleteShe is so beautiful! Congratulations!
