Welcome Caroline Grace
Welcome to the world our newest family member. Caroline Grace Morris was born 2/12/2016 weighing 6 lbs 10 oz and 18.5 inches long. The past week has been a whirlwind of ups and downs. We are thrilled to be home and words can not describe how amazing life is as a family of three. I will be sharing more about her birth and first few weeks of life this week.

Simple & Sweet Nursery
The nursery is finished. The diapers are purchased. All the clothes are washed. The only thing that is left is for this babe to make her grande debut. When dreaming of baby girl's nursery I knew I wanted to keep things simple and girly. I went with a theme of light pink with pops of grey and gold.
This little corner is my favorite place in the house. I love to sit and rock and dream of how much our lives will be changing in just a few weeks. Her name is a combination of grandmothers names. The monogram over her crib is a sweet reminder of the significance of her name.
Other favorite room details include the handmade garland I purchased off of Etsy. It makes the room feel a little more whimsical. I also love the print in the corner which is a striking resemblance to our pup Charlie. The bookcase was one my father made for my bedroom with a fresh coat of paint. The doll on the lowest shelf was mine as a child. All of the photos and accessories came from Hobby Lobby.
Some features that are missing in these photos is that the attached bathroom has a built in vanity area which we are using as a changing table. The nursery also has quite a large walk in closet which is used for storing toys.

Pregnancy | Week 37
Baby girl is officially full term! No signs of her making an appearance anytime soon. I am convinced that I will carry her to 40 weeks and then some.
Size of Baby: Baby is still around 19 inches long and weighs about 6 lbs. She is now the size of a honeydew.
Weight Gain: Up 29 pounds. Hoping that my diminishing stomach size and lack of appetite will help my weight gain starts to slow down these last few weeks.
Maternity Clothes: I am starting to wonder how I will ever go back to normal pants. Full panel pregnancy pants are a dream!
Nursery: Everything is finished and ready for baby girl's arrival!
Movement: Yes and it is starting to hurt. Baby girl is running out of room and she is making it known. She is still pretty high up and rests right below my ribcage for most of the day. This makes bending over or picking things up off the floor quite nauseating.
Sleep: Waking up on my back by the end of the night very frequently. I try my best to stay on my left side and keep multiple pillows plus my pregnancy pillow wedged around me.
Cravings: I enjoyed my first hamburger in years today. Man, it was delicious! I am loving french fries right now as well.
What I Miss: Sleeping on my stomach and having my old body back. I truly can't wait until I can lay on my stomach and stretch in cobra pose.
Exercise: 5 PB classes this week. Seeing if I can make 19 classes in February which is a challenge my studio is doing!
Best Moments: Washing the last of the baby clothes and finalizing the organization of baby's nursery. I can not believe that she could be here at any time!Wednesday, February 3, 2016
Pregnancy | Week 36
Guess who accidentally made a cameo in this week's photo! That little ball of fluff is not leaving my side these days. So, another week down equals a week closer to meeting sweet baby girl. The anticipation and unknown of her arrival is killing me. My planning personality hates the unknown timeline of delivery. Part of me wishes that labor and delivery was just like another routine doctor appointment. You plan for it show up and then come home with a baby. Unfortunately that is not how labor works. I am praying for patience and peace to get me through these next few weeks of uncertainty.
Size of Baby: Baby is still around 19 inches long and weighs about 6 lbs. She is the size of a papaya.
Gender: Sweet, sweet baby girl.
Weight Gain: Up 27 pounds. Feeling quite large these days.
Maternity Clothes: All day, every day.
Nursery: Everything is finished and ready for baby's arrival! I have one last load of laundry to complete this weekend and then need to figure out the best way to organize her clothes. We also have the stroller assembled and car seat installed. Going to get it inspected Friday after work.
Movement: Feeling her roll around a lot more. She will stick her butt out of my side trying to stretch out. Sitting on the couch at night is very uncomfortable as she will happily lodge herself up into my ribcage after dinner.
Sleep: Sleep really depends on the night. I am getting up to use the restroom more times than I care to acknowledge. Then finding a good position once I crawl back into bed is very difficult. I have ended up on my back with my feet propped up on pillows frequently.
Cravings: Still loving carbs and sweets. I don't think that will be changing anytime soon.
What I Miss: Oh how I miss moving at a normal speed. Sleeping on my stomach is a close second!
Exercise: 4 PB classes this week and some long walks in beautiful weather once the snow cleared. The studio is having a challenge of completing 19 classes in February which I am itching to give a try!
Best Moments: This weekend was filled with a perfect mix of time with just me and Joe and celebrating baby. Joe and I enjoyed a lazy Saturday paired with a fun date night enjoying fondue. Then Sunday I enjoyed lunch with with friends celebrating baby girl. We also received a ton of adorable outfits from Joe's family this weekend.
